Hi there! I’m Jade Han and I’ve been blessed to have grown up in beautiful Vancouver British Columbia. A little background on me- I’ve practiced various forms of Yoga on and off throughout my life but it wasn’t until post secondary while I was studying broadcast journalism and being exposed to the eat or be eaten world of news broadcasting that I realized reporting on suffering and doing nothing more about it did not serve me or anyone else to the level I knew I was capable of.

After aimlessly trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and how to cope with my mental health, I decided to embark on my teacher training and a dedicated lifelong journey with Yoga.

I’m now a Canadian Yoga Alliance registered Yoga teacher (CYA-RYT-500) having studied with Rebekka Walker at the Vancouver School of Healing Arts. I’ve been trained in over 500 hours of Hatha Vinyasa style Yoga for all level practitioners rooted deeply in tantric philosophy; including elements of pranayama (breath retention techniques), and meditation. I’ve also completed over 20hrs of restorative Yoga training. In addition I’ve formally trained for 300hrs of applying Yoga as therapy with Chelsea Lee at the fore mentioned Vancouver School of Healing Arts. In 2022 I will have completed the 1,000 hours of training necessary to become a certified Yoga therapist.

The interconnection of embodiment through asana (physical practice), pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation has transformed my own relationship to the storm raging within, offering calm sailing through the obstacles life throws my way. Yoga has been a tool to wash away my pain and mental imbalances by making my body and my mind more resilient.

Because of my experiences with poor mental health I am driven to help others find their way of coping with mental dis-ease and instill tools to feel confident in their ability to be vulnerable and still keep their head above water.

To find ease in the mind is the first step to fearlessly jumping into the depths of authenticity and opening our life to the powerful ebbs and flow of the universe. Since we cannot stop waves from crashing upon the beach we may as well jump right in and make a splash.

With less time spent fighting against the current of life and our fast paced modern world; a new world of time to do life affirming things such as travel and the ability to be more present for my family and friends has opened up to me. I plan to continue learning as many techniques as possible to serve as many people as possible in the hopes to share the gift of fearless vulnerability and unapologetic authenticity.

When I’m not teaching I’m most likely playing my ukulele or settling down to rest and do a whole lot of nothing else with my significant other, our cat, and our dog.

Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured.
